Masculine card showcasing the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! by Kathleen Wingerson www.kathleenstamps.com #SU #woodtextures #kathleenstamps #kathleenwingerson #guygreetings

Do you struggle with masculine cards?  Yes, masculine cards seem to be a problem for many stampers. Including me!  While searching Pinterest, for some ideas, I came across a cute card by Rachel Tessman. I liked the scored lines above and below the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I changed the colors, layout and added the pearls to my design.  Thanks, Rachel!

For a slightly different look, I turned the piece of Wood Textures DSP over and used the other side.  Yup, I like it, but I think I prefer my original card.  What do you think?

SU! colors used on this card:

Cutting and Scoring Instructions:  Basic Black (card base) 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″, Basic Black (layer behind Wood Textures DSP) 1-1/8″ x 3″; Very Vanilla (inside card) 4″ x 5-1/4″, Very Vanilla 3-1/8″ x 4-3/8″; Early Espresso 3″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 3/4″, 7/8″, 2-1/4″, 2-3/8″, and 2-1/2″; Wood Textures DSP (front of card) 1″ x 3″ and (inside of card) 1/2″ x 4-1/4″.

On my video, I used the Stampin’ Trimmer to score the Early Espresso card. Hopefully, you can see by using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool I can achieve a deeper score, which I like much better!
